Persia, Achaemenid Empire, Silver Siglos – c.450-375 BC

£70.00

A silver siglos of Achaemenid Persia, struck in the period of 450-375 BC. Silver sigloi like this one were largely produced in Lydia at the city of Sardes, or subsidiary mints in the region.

Despite some circulation wear, this coin holds excellent detail on the obverse and had an extremely pleasing feel in-hand.

Very Fine.
