A silver stater from the city of Nagidos in Cilicia.

The obverse features a seated Aphrodite, who appears to have been of particular significance to the city.

Dionysos stands on the reverse, holding a bunch of grapes in his right hand and a thyrsos in his left.

This example is struck from lightly worn dies but retains some good details and partial legend, with a test cut to the reverse.

Cilicia, Nagidos. AR Stater, c.400-385 BC. Aphrodite seated left, holding phiale in her right hand; before, Nike flying right, crowning her with wreath / NAΓΙΔ-[I]KΩΝ Dionysos standing front, head to left, holding grapes in his right hand and thyrsos in his left. Struck from lightly worn dies and test cut on the reverse edge, otherwise, nearly very fine.
